Dr. Benjamin Lawlor

Dr. Lawlor graduated from Dalhousie University and is a fellow with the International College of Oral Implantologists. He is proud to be named among America’s Top Dentists in 2016, 2017 and 2018 and to bring his expertise in family and cosmetic dental services to his home state of Maine.

Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Lawlor served in the military and spent over ten years in the Air Force as an avionics specialist and then dental director. During his military tenure, he served overseas on two deployments and received numerous awards including Airman of the Year. Dr. Lawlor continues to serve by providing free dental care to kids and families on service trips to Guatemala.

At Maine Dentistry, Dr. Lawlor has established a unique approach focused on comfort, quality, and no judgment experiences. Dr. Lawlor knew he wanted to become a dentist since he was a kid, and wants everyone to love their dental experiences as much as he did growing up. When he isn’t working on happy smiles, he can be found hiking Cadillac mountain, white water rafting, kiteboarding, or skiing.

TEST TEST
Vanessa Frost

Vanessa is our Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (or EFDA for short – Eff Duh). As the name implies, EFDAs serve additional functions in a dental office such as placing a white filling after the Dentist has removed the decay. To become an EFDA, rigorous requirements must be met, including successful completion of an accredited program to obtain state licensure, followed by mandatory continuing education. Procedures that an EFDA can perform in the state of Maine are checked upon completion by a licensed dentist.
