When he isn’t working on happy smiles, he can be found hiking Cadillac mountain, white water rafting, kiteboarding, or skiing.
Vanessa is our Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (or EFDA for short – Eff Duh). As the name implies, EFDAs serve additional functions in a dental office such as placing a white filling after the Dentist has removed the decay. To become an EFDA, rigorous requirements must be met, including successful completion of an accredited program to obtain state licensure, followed by mandatory continuing education. Procedures that an EFDA can perform in the state of Maine are checked upon completion by a licensed dentist.

Questions You May Have About Your Appointment
Your first visit to our office is a chance for you to meet our team and for us to get to know you. We will perform an oral examination to see what’s going on in your mouth and develop a treatment plan to address any areas of concern. If you have any questions or goals for your oral health, this is a great opportunity to discuss them.
As we get to know you, we can determine ways to make your visits as comfortable – and even enjoyable – as possible.
When you come to see us for the first time, go ahead and bring your dental insurance card with you (if you have one) as well as a list of any medication you are currently taking. If you are switching from another dentist and you have your dental records, you can bring those as well.
We believe that everyone in Yarmouth should have access to high-quality dental care. Therefore, we offer different ways to pay for treatment, such as cash, most major credit cards, dental insurance, and even financing options through companies like CareCredit.
If you’d like to discuss your options in more personal detail, don’t hesitate to talk to our warm, knowledgeable staff.
Not always, but it depends on the policy. Many dental insurance companies view dental implants as a cosmetic procedure and will not cover them. However, others are inclined to pay 50% of the procedure. Contact your insurance company to gain a better understanding of your coverage.
